The European Commission counts on the abolition of scandalous changes in the Ukrainian anti-corruption legislation, which provide for mandatory submission of electronic declarations by representatives of anti-corruption public organizations and their counterparts.

Brussels repeatedly raised this issue during a dialogue with the Ukrainian political leadership. The European Commission called for an immediate review of this legislative norm, Deutsche Welle.

"From any event that interferes with the significant role of civil society, one should refrain," the European Commission emphasized, noting the paramount importance in the non-governmental organizations of the fight against corruption in Ukraine. E-declaration for them in Brussels was called a "step back".

Recall, on March 23 the Verkhovna Rada made changes in the art.. 3 of the Law "On Prevention of Corruption". The presidential bill was supported by 268 people's deputies. Initially, the bill was aimed at the release of soldiers and junior officers from the need to file e-declaration. However, during the consideration in the second reading, significant amendments were made to the draft law.

In particular, the law obliges to submit e-declarations of representatives of anti-corruption organizations. The changes in the anti-corruption legislation were severely criticized by US, EU, G7 ambassadors and international organizations.
