French presidential contender Emmanuel Macron during a televised debate with his opponent Marin Le Pen called on Moscow to fulfill its obligations for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Donbass.
"I will not obey the dictates of Putin, and this is my difference from Ms. Le Pen," - said Makron, RFI.
At the same time, he stressed the need to conduct a dialogue with the Russian Federation on the war with Ukraine, as well as on the Syrian issue.
Makron added that the de-escalation of tension in the Donbass is a priority in the negotiations with Russia.
As reported by the "Observer", Macron and Le Pen met on the last before the second round of the election televised debates, during which they exchanged ideological reproaches and entered into a fierce dispute over economic issues. The final round of elections will be held on May 7.
