In the election of the governor of the Sverdlovsk region, which will be held on September 10, 2017, a new candidate, unknown to anyone. Ekaterinburg businessman Roman Bolshin announced in social networks about nominating his candidacy for the post of head of the region.

The statement that stirred up the political tussle of the Middle Urals, Bolshin did the night before on Facebook.

"Hello, my name is Roman Bolshin and today I decided to participate in the election of the governor of the Sverdlovsk region in 2017," he wrote.

The candidate promised within a few weeks to tell "about himself and his team", about how he plans to "make the Sverdlovsk region a prosperous region", about his program and the first steps towards its implementation. Bolshin notes that he will go to the polls "with a youth agenda".

Skeptics suggest that Roman Bolshin is an ordinary "spoiler" who will not be able to pass the municipal filter, and who will withdraw his candidacy in favor of one of the candidates. However, they also have big doubts that the candidate will be able to attract at least some significant electorate.
