This opinion was expressed in the commentary to the "Observer" by the political scientist-internationalist, the scientific director of the Institute of Euro-Atlantic Cooperation Alexander Sushko.

"Forecasts that relate to a sharp change in the US exchange rate against Ukraine and Russia did not happen. The most noticeable change is the significant re-emphasis of US foreign policy from predominantly diplomatic to military-defense component. This is reflected in the redistribution of the budget: a reduction in spending on diplomacy, an increase in the army, "- said Sushko.

According to him, concerns about Trump's agreement with Russia or the revision of sanctions did not come true.

"But it is obvious that Ukraine is not on the list of priorities of the Trump administration. This is manifested not only in plans to reduce aid, but also in the absence of key personnel appointments. Many people who were supposed to conduct the Ukrainian dossier in the administration, have not yet been appointed.
