The representative of Ukraine Georgy Logvinsky has little chance to become president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe instead of Pedro Agramunt.

Such an opinion in the commentary to the "Observer" was expressed by the expert-internationalist Maxim Yali.

"Chances are little. First, Ukraine is not a member of the European Union, respectively, and the European Parliament. Secondly, the scandal will try to be hushed up, and the election of the Ukrainian representative would provoke too violent a reaction. After all, the Ukrainian delegation put a hand on a possible future resignation. Therefore, if the resignation of Agramunt is held, it is unlikely that the new representative will be the new head of Ukraine, "Yali said..

According to him, the most promising candidate is the vice-president of PACE from Norway Ingrid Shaw.

"Norway - a neutral country, equidistant from the conflict," - summed up the international.

As reported by the "Observer", former President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Pedro Agramunt was suspended from performing duties of conducting the session after the scandal because of his visit to Syria together with the deputies of the Russian State Duma.
