This lunar landscape is a common occurrence for the "Burshtynova republic". Barbaric amber mining in Zhytomyr, Rivne and Volyn regions not only leads to the fact that about 300 tons of valuable stone are mined without any revenues to the budget, and then smuggled out of the country, but as a result, the Ukrainian land is "killed". Now the amber fever has so clouded the brains of the Ukrainians that they have not yet realized the prospects of life in a clay desert with a disturbed ecology. All in the name of the golden calf. Rather amber. Well, we must admit that this illegal business is beneficial for many law enforcement officers, officials of different levels and customs-border mafia. All of them, at different stages, withdraw their share from illegal amber extraction. And what remains in the inheritance of their descendants of little interest. After all, these temporary workers live today and personal interests. And it's not Putin who does it, but Ukrainians. So to blame someone else will not succeed. Sit on this "business", as ordinary citizens, and high-ranking officials. Law enforcers, instead of stopping barbarous prey, simply control it. And then we are surprised that the state lost its monopoly on violence. Yes, it, in the face of law enforcement, just does not want to restore it.

And just do not tell us about the difficult situation. It's easier to catch fish in muddy water, and with an unregulated situation of amber mining it's easier to enrich everyone who is involved. About the future of Ukraine they think. Only about your personal future.
