According to him, Grigorovich's dissatisfaction with the Cabinet of Ministers was formed at the end of last year after the failure of the export and forward program, and especially intensified due to the failure of negotiations with the main creditor of the corporation - the Chinese "Eximbank". This is a $ 1.5-billion dollar loan, which was provided under state guarantees, and which, if the restructuring agreement is not reached, will have to be returned to the government. The last straw that decided the fate of the head of the GPPMU, according to the EP, was information about the liquidation at the end of last week by the National Police and Prosecutor General's Office of an underground poker club, which was located in a building whose sole owner, according to official figures, is Alexander Grigorovich. The head of the GPZKU admitted that the building at Karelsky Lane 5 belongs to him, but claims that he handed it over exclusively to a cafe and learned how the tenant uses the premises simultaneously with law enforcement bodies.
In the Corporation, the resignation of the manager is confirmed. The corporation owns 10% of the certified grain capacities of Ukraine, and the capabilities of its port terminals allow to provide up to 12% of the average annual volumes of grain export. The last three years the company is unprofitable. The amount of losses: for 2014 - 3.536 billion UAH, for 2015 - 3.029 billion UAH, for 2016 - about 600 million UAH.
As part of the contract concluded in 2013, the Ukrainian company was to supply about 5 million tons of grain annually to China, mainly corn. This indicator has never been achieved, and at the end of last year, the Corporation generally stopped exports to China. The minimum volume of grain in 2016 was to make 5.17 million tons, while the Chinese received only 0.59 million tons.
Over the past six months, relations with the creditor moved to the stage of an open conflict. Due to the trade of the GKPKU with other counterparties, bypassing the Chinese CCEC corporation appealed to arbitration in GAFTA. For today, the only stable income of the GKPKU is the interest that Ukraine's Ukreximbank has for its 1 billion Chinese loan. However, 100% of this margin is transferred by the GKPKU to interest payments to a Chinese creditor.
