Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a decree according to which all lease contracts and real estate purchase and sale documents concluded in foreign currency will be transferred to Turkish lira. The text of the decree is published in the official Gazette of the Government of Turkey - Resm? Gazete, reports Anadolu on Thursday, September 13. When concluding contracts of sale, lease, leasing of movable and immovable property between residents in Turkey, the payment obligations of the parties will not be established or indexed in foreign currency, the message says.. According to the decree, recalculation will be carried out within 30 days. Earlier, Erdogan called on citizens of Turkey to exchange dollars and euros for lira.

The president said this because of the need to strengthen the national currency, whose rate fell sharply against the backdrop of fears about the economy and the deterioration of relations with the US. Recall that today the Central Bank of Turkey raised the key interest rate at once by 6.25% - from 17.75% to 24%. Before the meeting of the regulator, Erdogan called the rate of 17.75% too high and called for lowering it. News from Telegram. Subscribe to our channel https: // t. me / korrespondentnet.
