More than 50% of the road construction projects planned for the current year have been completed or at the final stage, and in September the government expects a full assessment of the situation in the industry in all areas. This was said by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman during the governmental meeting on road construction and road development.

He noted that the construction machine "is in full swing".

"More than half of the plans have already been fulfilled. But in different regions this work is carried out in different ways. I set clear goals: the pace should be accelerated, and the funds used efficiently and rationally, "said Groisman. - We do checks, there will be audits on the completion of objects. Further - in September - we will understand who coped with the tasks, who is not. I will give an assessment to all who, having resources, could not organize the work ".

The participants of the meeting noted that in the regional context, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zakarpatye, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovograd, Lviv, Poltava, Ternopil, Kherson and Khmelnytsky regions are the best to cope with the assigned task, where the percentage of works exceeds 80%. In Chernivtsi and Sumy region the situation is bad.

This year, for the repair of roads allocated a record financing - more than 45 billion USD. The state subvention for the construction of roads of local significance amounted to 11.53 billion UAH. The volume of financing activities to improve road safety reached 2.6 billion UAH.
