The National Bank is selling a 5 UAH coin dedicated to the traditional pottery art that was formed in the village of Opishnya in the Poltava region and is called “Opishnya Ceramics”. . Price – 195 UAH.

" It combines deep artistic originality and refined technique of execution, which have been preserved and passed on from generation to generation for centuries.. In 2012, Opishnya ceramics were included in the National List of Elements of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Ukraine,” the coin’s description says..

On the obverse of the coin (front side) in the center there is a zoomorphic sculpture “Lion” by the famous potter from Opishni Vasily Omelyanenko.

On the sides of the sculpture there are fragments of the characteristic molded decor of zoomorphic sculpture.

On the right is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, minting year 2025, the inscription “Ukraine”, denomination and graphic sign of the hryvnia. And also the logo of the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the reverse (back side) there is a stylized composition formed from elements of the traditional ornamental decor of Opishnyansky clay products. At the top of the coin there is the inscription “Opishnyanskaya ceramics”.
