Ukrainians are being deceived with fake videos about non-existent ski resorts and other fictitious locations, using footage from abroad to lure them into Telegram channels. To protect yourself, check sources of information and avoid clicking on dubious links.. The Institute for the Development of Regional Press writes about this.. One such example is a video about the opening of the “first ski resort in Kyiv,” which has nothing to do with reality.

One of the TikTok accounts, which has more than 110 thousand subscribers, published a video with promises of a ski resort in Kyiv. According to the description, three hours of skiing costs 400 hryvnia, and for the military there is a 25% discount. To find out the address, viewers are invited to go to the Telegram channel via the link in the profile.

At first glance this seems like an exciting opportunity, but in reality the video is fake. To create the video, footage of a ski resort in Neuss, Germany was used..
