The national energy company Ukrenergo stated that data on the total capacity of decentralized generation, published in the media and disseminated by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, are incomplete and incorrect.

This is stated in the official statement of the company.

“Today, some telegram channels and media published information about the total capacity of decentralized generation facilities built in Ukraine over the past year. Let us briefly explain why the data given (in particular, and with reference to Ukrenergo) is not final,” the state company said.

Ukrenergo explained that their statistics do not include, in particular, installations connected to the internal networks of consumers and intended exclusively for their energy supply without delivering power to the unified energy system.

As well as backup gas installations, which are used in emergency situations and have not declared connection to the power grid.

As well as the capacity of generating facilities that have already been built and connected, but have not yet been officially put into operation.

" Our statistics do not take into account a significant part of such installations,” the company noted..

NEC also emphasized that they are ready to provide business and industrial enterprises with support for connecting generating installations to the Ukrainian electricity market.

" We encourage enterprises to become part of the electricity market in order to contribute to the stability of the country’s energy system,” the company’s press service added..

As is known, at the end of 2024, the total capacity of distributed gas generation, according to official data, amounted to 967 MW.
