Since February 2025, the updated rules for identifying pensioners outside the state have entered into force in Ukraine. That this change means? Without proper identification, people of advanced age will lose at least for a while (until it is still identified), the opportunity to receive their pension. The yard is summer, but after three months of time there will be not so much time for identification, especially those who are not friends with a smartphone. And without his help (and the help of people who you trust) to continue to receive a pension, you will have to go home. All this applies primarily to tens of thousands of people, mainly women and respectable men who, after the start of a full -scale war, were in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic and other countries of the world.

Since February, according to the provisions of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 299 of 11. 02. 25 years “On amendments to some acts of the Cabinet of Ministers on the procedure for identifying pensioners who are outside Ukraine”, all pensioners who have been outside the territory of Ukraine for more than six months are required to identify in electronic form annually. Without this, the pension will be automatically suspended, without warning.

At the same time, persons who are in temporarily occupied territories or in aggressors are required to additionally submit a certificate on the absence of payments from non-chief sources.

And fixing abroad for a period of six months launches a mandatory procedure for confirming the fact of being registered, with the following identification through remote funds.

Clause 6 of the Procedure for receiving a pension approved by Government Decree No. 299 reports that “recipients who temporarily live outside Ukraine, and those who live on the territories of Ukraine temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation, payment of a pension (monthly lifelong cash) is carried out under the condition of a person of physical identification until December 31 of each calendar year”.

The physical identification is equated:.

It should be noted that the system is automatic, so no “forgiveness” or delays allows. If the pensioner has not confirmed his identity until the set date, the system automatically blocks the payment of pensions from the next month. Payments are resumed only after the verification. The main thing is that after passing the identification of payments, they are really restored, but not retroactively. That is, if you delay confirmation, you can irrevocably lose several months of payments.

All pensioners abroad must be identified no later than December 31. Some categories (IDPs or those who receive allowances) have passed the procedure every six months.
