The completion of the Khmelnitsky NPP power units will be an important step towards the energy independence of Ukraine, and its financing will not affect citizens and businesses.
This was stated by People's Deputy of Ukraine Victoria Mushroom.
She emphasized that the construction funds will not be removed from the budget or other critical spheres.
" What will be on this business project, and he is a very successful business project. Because in order to build now, to complete 2 nuclear units, it will cost much less than building new nuclear blocks somewhere around the world, ”the deputy explained.
Separately, she commented on the issue of the origin of equipment, which Ukraine plans to purchase in Bulgaria.
" No, then not Russian. It really was Soviet. And we have the same blocks now stand at our other nuclear power plants. So let's refuse them, or something? So let's refuse them, or something? But there is a little, you know, we buy from the Bulgarian and this is already Bulgarian. Because they bought a long time ago, ”the mushroom noted.
She also emphasized that construction will be carried out by Ukrainian specialists with extensive experience in this area.
" We have a minister who also worked in Energoatom. We have today Mr. Kotin, who heads Energoatom. He also completed the blocks at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. He took employees from the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and they are now in Ukraine, ”the deputy emphasized.
According to her, financing of the project will occur exclusively at the expense of banks, and its payback will be quick.
" This means that this is Bencable-Project. That is, money will be taken in banks. And I'm sure that they will give such money. Because if the payback of the project is in 3-4-5 years, this is very attractive "
Earlier, MP Viktor Bondar said that the completion of two power units of the Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant will create thousands of highly qualified jobs and will become a powerful incentive for the economic and social development of the region.
