In Ukraine, the situation with corruption has somewhat deteriorated, which is why our country crawled in the rating of the corruption perception index rating. However, the slowdown in anti -corruption progress last year was a global trend, against which the situation in Ukraine is not a critical.

This was reported in the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPK), analyzing the results of the CPI 2024 rating, published by Transparency International Ukraine. According to them in 2024, Ukraine took 105th place among 180 countries for the perception of corruption, receiving 35 points out of the possible 100. This is 1 place lower and 1 point less, respectively, than in the past.

The NAPK is sure that it is important not a place in the ranking, but the number of points received. Although, against the backdrop of a global deterioration in the situation with corruption, the slowdown of anti -corruption progress of Ukraine does not look critical, there are a number of challenges requiring systemic response, in particular::.

" So a certain “stagnation” in 2024 indicates that the orientations are purely on the programmatic fulfillment of the obligations taken by Ukraine, and the implementation of the reforms started is not as high -quality as planned, ”the authors of the rating say.
