The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to provide a subvention of 1 billion hryvnias for Kharkov’s budget for emergency recovery work in the housing and communal services. This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Schmigal during the government meeting on February 7.

“These funds will help the city carry out the most urgent work related to water and heat supply, as well as drainage. The entire resource should be used before the end of the year, ”the head of government emphasized.

He noted that the allocated amount is part of the complex support of the region. Earlier, in order to prepare for the heating season, the government has already provided Kharkov region with 2.4 billion hryvnias, and Kharkov - about 2 billion.

In addition, the government decided to build main water supply systems in the Nikolaev region. According to Denis Shmygal, 8 billion is provided for these works. UAH. The project includes three sections of a water intake from the South Bug river, providing the city with stable water supply.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the government continues to pay great attention to the financial and social support of communities and regions. In 2025, the resource of local budgets will grow by 15% and amount to 328 billion hryvnias. A significant part of the funds will be aimed at educational subventions, support for de -capable territories and the development of regions.
