Ukraine plans to create a food hub in Egypt. It is assumed that this will help our country enter African markets with products with added - pasta, flour, etc.. Such exports are more profitable than sales of grain in the form of raw materials.
Such a plan was reported in the Ministry of Agar Policy and Food of Ukraine. In particular, the topic of the construction of the Haba was discussed by the head of the department Vitaly Koval with Valid Gamaldin, the head of the state administration of the economic zone of the Suez Canal (SCZONE), uniting six ports.
It is noted that Koval and the Ambassador of Ukraine to Egypt Nikolai Nagorno have already examined the port infrastructure. They also got acquainted with locations in which Ukrainian business can place their capacities - these are elevators, logistics centers, storage facilities.
" This will allow you to enter the domestic market of Egypt and export the finished products - flour, pasta, other food products - to countries with which Egypt has a free trade zone, ”said Koval.
He recalled that Sczone is a special economic zone in Egypt, created in 2015 in order to attract foreign investment in the country. It occupies an area of \u200b\u200bmore than 461 square meters. km and located along the eastern and western coast of the Suez Canal.
