In the 2024 year, the non-banking financial market of Ukraine experienced changes: the number of participants changed to 876, increased from 892 in the fall of the same year.. At the same time, a number of banks lost their permanent value - 62. Also, during the month, five new companies entered the market, and 21 were removed from the registers.

The regulator’s press service reported this. It was determined that 21 companies were included from the registers, including risk insurance companies, credit unions and pawnshops.. Suddenly, five new participants joined the financial market. Licenses were canceled for eight financial companies, one risk and one life insurer, one pawnshop and three credit unions. Zokrema, Primus had licenses revoked for several financial companies and other participants. We also completed the adjustment of licenses for 16 companies.

As of September 1, 2025, the following companies were operating in the market of non-banking financial services: 479 financial companies (changed from 489 in listopad), 55 non-life insurers (formerly 57), 10 life insurers (formerly 11),. There are also 109 pawnshops (total 111), 104 credit unions (total 108), 1 lessor (no changes), 44 insurance brokers (total 43) and 73 collection companies (total 71).

As for banking and non-banking financial groups, the number of banking groups in the market decreased from 16 to 15, and the number of non-banking financial groups increased - from 31 to 40. The payment market is also wary of changes. Thus, there are 15 payment systems created by residents (there were 16), and 14 international payment systems created by non-residents (no changes).

There have also been no significant changes in the market of providers of financial payment services:

there are 18 payment institutions, 12 financial institutions that have the right to provide payment services, one bank issuing electronic groins and one operator. In addition, to other subjects of the payment market there are 49 commercial agents (previously 50) and 30 technological operators of payment services (the number has not changed).
