According to Alyushina, Ukraine is faced with a problem when civil servants who abused the accumulation of vacation leave or retire, and then all compensation payments must be made to them at the same time, and the numbers are accumulating considerable.

“We receive information from government agencies that someone has unused vacations since 1999. Just imagine - people have been accumulating them for 30 years, and now they need to pay everything at once. And that's not all - there may be payments in accordance with court decisions. And there are no funds planned in the budget for this, ”said the head of the National Agency.

As Natalya Alyushina explained, earlier this was an acceptable practice for the state, but in the context of the war, with the current deficit in wage funds, the situation is “to put it mildly, bleak”.

“The National Civil Service Agency does not bring this to pass, but is not ready to say how such issues are resolved in other state bodies. I just know that in some ministries there are sky-high figures when compensations amount to 16 million. UAH.
