Inspectors of the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety got the right to identify overloaded cars by eye. True, after that they must deliver such a car to the places of weighing - this implies the procedure adopted at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers for escorting vehicles that have signs of overloading.
As explained by the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, the government decree will allow inspectors of the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Security to monitor compliance with weight norms by carriers. The new tool is aimed primarily at saving roads, especially where automatic weighing in motion systems are not installed..
The government decree provides:.
The right to stop a car with signs of overload and accompany it for weighing to the nearest specially equipped site (no further than 50 km).
The possibility of using a special blocking device if the driver refuses to go to the place of weighing or correct violations in case of exceeding the allowed limits.
Also, signs are defined by which the car can be accompanied for weighing by the inspector of the GSBT:.
Loading above boards;
Suspension drawdown;
Absence of a bill of lading or refusal to present it.
“GSBT inspectors are required to record communication with the driver on the body camera in full - in order to prevent any corruption abuses. This has been in effect since August last year.. If the inspector did not record the communication with the driver on camera, disciplinary responsibility is provided for the employee of the State Security Service,"
