The National Bank of Ukraine has decided to revoke the banking license from JSC IBOX BANK (IBOX BANK) and liquidate it from March 7, 2023, the regulator said in a statement..

According to the National Bank, the reason for the revocation of the license was that IBOX BANK systematically violated the requirements of the law in the field of preventing and combating the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime, the financing of terrorism and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

Over the past two years, the regulator has already applied a number of measures to the violating bank: imposed a fine, twice stopped the implementation of certain types of operations, twice removed a bank official, and also twice issued a written warning.

The National Bank added that the share of the financial institution was 0.1% of the assets of solvent banks, so its withdrawal from the market will not affect the stability of the banking sector of Ukraine.
