Despite the war, Ukraine continues to pay pensions and other social benefits. In particular, persons with disabilities receive pension payments. The pension in each case is calculated differently, depending on the individual characteristics of the person, how many years he has worked and what group he was assigned. Facts ICTV told what determines the size of the disability pension.

What determines the size of the pension.

In Ukraine, the minimum pension for men with 35 years of insurance experience, and for women 30 years, is set at the subsistence level - UAH 2093.

To calculate the pension, it is necessary to determine the individual coefficient of insurance experience (depending on the months of experience) and add the salary coefficient, dividing it by the average salary in Ukraine for the number of months.

Such calculations are carried out by local authorities of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, which calculate the length of service in months and highlight the conditions for accrual.

What disability pension will Ukrainians receive in 2023.

Disability pension depends on the group of disability a person has. So, persons with the first group of disability and insurance experience from 1 to 10 years, depending on the age of determination of disability, will receive 100% of the old-age pension.

For people with a second disability group and an insurance period of 1 to 14 years - 90% of the old-age pension.

Persons with the third group of disability and experience from 1 to 14 years will receive 50% of the old-age pension.

The exact amount of the disability pension is calculated individually, as it depends on the disability group and the insurance period of the person.
