The National Bank declared Forward Bank, owned by Russian citizen Rustam Tariko, insolvent. This is stated in the message of the NBU.
The financial condition of the bank has deteriorated significantly since the bank was classified as problem.

So, on November 24, 2022, the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine, guided by Article 75 of the Law of Ukraine " The basis for this decision was the establishment of the fact that JSC FORWARD BANK carried out risky activities on the basis of insufficient bank income, which creates in the future the risk of reducing its regulatory capital and violating the economic capital standards established by the National Bank.
However, on February 8, due to the bank's failure to bring its activities in line with the requirements of the law, including the regulatory legal acts of the National Bank after classifying it as problematic, the bank was declared insolvent. The NBU also took into account the further significant and irreversible deterioration in the financial condition of this bank in the absence of effective measures to improve it and the impossibility and insufficiency of the capitalization planned by BANK FORWARD JSC.
Today, on February 8, the Deposit Guarantee Fund began the procedure for withdrawing Forward Bank from the market by introducing temporary administration in it for a period of one month from February 8, 2023 to March 7, 2023 (inclusive). This is stated in the message of the Foundation.
Pavelko Elena, Leading Economist of the Department for the Introduction of the Interim Administration of the Early Response Department of the Department for Remote and Inspection Monitoring of Banks, has been appointed as the temporary administrator.

Recall, the National Bank of Ukraine is also preparing amendments to the law, allowing the nationalization of Sens Bank (formerly Alfa-Bank). The corresponding order was given by the head of the NBU Andrey Pyshny.
