Svetlana Antonyuk, deputy head of the main department of the Pension Fund in the Zhytomyr region, told Suspіlny about the main changes for Ukrainians who receive subsidies.

How subsidies will be calculated and paid from February 1.

Antonyuk noted that earlier preferential payments for water, heat, electricity and other housing and communal services were distributed by branches of Oschadbank and Ukrposhta.

“The possibility of non-cash payment of benefits for the use of housing and communal services is canceled. If a person opened a bank account, this money will be credited there. And it will be man's money. If a person did not open a bank account or did not submit information about where these payments should be transferred, the money will go to Oschadbank. You will need to go to Oschadbank and receive this money, and after that open a personal account in this or another bank - for the further possibility of transferring money, ”she explained.

So, starting from February 1, Oschadbank branches will not transfer money to utility providers, as it was before.

According to Antonyuk, a person must withdraw this money himself and pay for the use of housing and communal services directly to utility companies and organizations..

She also stressed that people who received a housing subsidy and have no reason to change its size do not need to come anywhere.. And pensioners will continue, if they wish, to receive a subsidy through the Ukrposhti branch on the day the pension is paid.

“As for people of non-retirement age, they can also receive a housing subsidy through Ukrposhti branches,” Antoniuk said..

or open an account in a banking institution and the money will go there;

or continue to receive housing subsidies at Ukrposhti branches.

“The delivery of this money to the house, as it was before, is canceled. For pensioners, this money will be delivered home along with the pension,” she concluded..
