On Wednesday, January 18, certain provisions of Law No. 1999-IX on taxation of goods in international mail and the procedure for their declaration come into force in Ukraine. It is reported by the State Customs Service.

It is noted that the changes are aimed at speeding up customs clearance and delivery of international parcels to Ukraine..

The new procedure for declaring parcels provides for:.

submission of a temporary register with the calculation of customs payments, as well as payment of these payments within 30 days from the date of execution of the corresponding temporary register;

submission of an additional register with simultaneous payment of customs duties;

or submission of an additional register only (in particular if the goods are not subject to taxation).

Thus, temporary and additional registers of international postal and international express shipments replace customs declarations.

Registers are submitted by a postal operator or an express carrier when the total invoiced value of the goods does not exceed:.

for businesses – 150 euros;

for citizens - 10,000 euros.

In addition, the limit for receiving parcels without tax increases from 100 euros to 150 euros.
