At a meeting on December 13, the National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Utilities (NKREKU) adopted a resolution according to which it fined three regional gas companies for a total amount of more than UAH 1 million for violating the law and license conditions.

It is specified that OAO Kirovogradgaz was fined 850,000. UAH, and JSC " UAH. Numerous violations were identified at enterprises during scheduled inspections for 2021, which led to the imposition of penalties.

Among the biggest violations were non-implementation of investment programs, debts to the Gas Supply Company Naftogaz of Ukraine and the GTS Operator of Ukraine, an imbalance in the portfolio of gas balancing during 2021, a low level of meter inspections, late filing of reports and inconsistency of costs with the tariff structure.

Earlier it was reported that the gas supply company Naftogaz demanded that eight regional gas companies be disconnected from gas supply: Dneprogaz, Dnepropetrovskgaz, Luganskgaz, Kharkivgaz, Kharkivgorgaz, Chernivtsigaz, Melitopolgaz and Mariupolgaz. Most of them work in the war zone in eastern Ukraine, and two are in the occupied territory.
