The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is opening a regional office in Ukraine, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal announced.

“An agreement has just been concluded in Paris, which officially provides the basis for the launch in Kyiv of the so-called “Communication Office” of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. Since Ukraine has been recognized as a potential member of the OECD, the office will provisionally function until 2026 to support our state in its recovery..

The prime minister noted that the OECD was a co-executor of the Marshall Plan and is now helping to develop the Ukraine Recovery Plan.

“This month we also received a description of the provisions of the OECD Program, which will help implement the Organization's standards in various industries. We are ready to jointly begin its preparation in order to join the “club of successful countries” as soon as possible.

This will become a marker of Ukraine's readiness to join the EU and will contribute to the establishment of our state as a regional leader,” Shmigal believes..
