The state-owned energy trader has barely started operations and has already crushed half of energy exports

State energy trader JSC ECU starts exporting electricity to leading European trading companies. To ensure export agreements, JSC " So, on August 17, 2022, ECU JSC bought out 62 MW out of 125 MW of available capacity in the direction of Slovakia and 62 MW of 125 MW of available capacity in the direction of Romania, put up for auction.

As we wrote, the preliminary statements of the relevant ministry that the trader “will be the same market participant as any other” do not hold water.

Given that the key supplier of electricity for him is the state-owned NJSC Energoatom, it is clear why, already at the very first auction, it was the state trader in the top of the winners.
