The National Bank allowed banks to increase the amount of cash that they can sell to citizens. This was reported by the press service of the NBU.
So, from July 27, 2022, the NBU gave banks the opportunity to include in the calculation of the volume of cash currency that they can sell to citizens in the cash segment of the foreign exchange market, not only the previously purchased cash currency (starting from April 13, 2022), but also half of the cash currency purchased from.
" At the same time, additional pressure on the international reserves of the NBU as a result of the use of this permission by banks will be moderate and controllable,” the NBU believes..
Recall that the National Bank of Ukraine allowed banks to sell cash foreign currency to the population from April 14.
At the same time, banks could sell cash foreign currency to customers within the difference between the total volumes of foreign currency purchased by them and sold.
