Russia is looking for access to Ukrainian titanium raw materials and is trying to stop the export of titanium, using investigations to overstate the tax credit as a means of pressure, says Andrey Brodsky, CEO of the mining company Velta.

On July 20, the Economic Security Bureau seized documents at the Velta office - permission for temporary access to the originals and their seizure was given by the court. He also summoned Brodsky for interrogation in Kyiv on July 26..

According to the CEO of the company, checks on the formation of a tax credit are carried out monthly, and the Tax Office has no comments for ten years.. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the company has paid more than 40 million hryvnia in taxes.

“In addition, we export our products to the US and the EU, so the state must return VAT to us, the same loan, but, as everyone knows, government agencies have not made these payments since the beginning of the year.. Now these are already crazy amounts, significantly exceeding the one that BEB attributes to us, ”he writes..

Brodsky connects the activity of the BEB precisely with the interest of the aggressor state. The seizure of documents was preceded by a series of publications in the Russian media about “Ukraine’s lobbying for a ban on the export of Russian titanium”.

The company's CEO claims that the developed new technology for the manufacture of titanium components will provide Europe and the United States with free access to high-quality metallic titanium, which will mean the end of the Russian monopoly.

“Russia has already been left without titanium raw materials, because historically Ukraine has always been its main supplier, and now the United States and Europe can very quickly throw off the Russian titanium metal noose on their necks with the help of Ukraine. We have something to offer our allies! "

Therefore, the Russians are trying to stop the creation of an alternative titanium producer and gain access to titanium raw materials in order to continue producing new submarines, missiles and fighters..

According to Brodsky, the plan of " After that, the court, at the suit of BEB, will seize all the assets of Velta and transfer them under the control of ARMA. In turn, the Agency will transfer the property of the company to the management of one Russian structure, which is still operating in Ukraine.

Brodsky urged to prevent such a development of events and expressed confidence in the victory of Ukraine.

Recall that the European Union at the last moment excluded the largest Russian titanium producer VSMPO-Avisma from the new package of sanctions.. This decision was opposed by France, Germany, Spain, as well as the largest buyer of Russian titanium - Airbus..

Ukraine owns 20% of world titanium reserves. It also has a historically developed industry for processing these raw materials.. Read about how affordable Ukrainian titanium can change the world in Andrey Brodsky's article "
