An agreement on the export of grain from Ukraine by sea will be signed on July 22 in Istanbul. This was reported in the presidential administration of Turkey.
“The signing ceremony of the grain export agreement, which will be attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, will be held on Friday with the participation of representatives of Ukraine and Russia,” the statement said..
It is planned that the agreement will be signed at 16. 30 local time at Dolmabahce Palace.
The Guterres office confirmed that the UN Secretary General was flying to Turkey, however, according to the deputy official representative of the organization Farhan Haq, the UN is not completely sure that the agreement will be concluded, the BBC Russian service reports..
“The situation remains somewhat uncertain, so I cannot say when anything will be signed.. We haven’t agreed on everything yet,” he said..
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba confirmed that Ukraine and Russia are at a crucial stage in reaching agreements on unblocking seaports and exporting grain across the Black Sea.
