Ukrainians during the war are not exempt from paying utility bills and must pay for services. In this case, the accumulated debts will have to be repaid in full.. However, there is a small exception. Some consumers may be exempted from payment for gas distribution. This was announced by the National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Utilities (NEURC).

Under martial law, you can not pay for gas delivery if the infrastructure has been damaged as a result of hostilities and regional gas companies cannot fulfill their obligations in terms of providing round-the-clock access to the gas distribution system.

Also, consumers who have a damaged gas consumption facility or an in-house gas supply system are exempted from paying for gas delivery..

In these two cases, no gas distribution fee will be charged, but only for the duration of the absence of round-the-clock access to the gas distribution system.

The recalculation is carried out by regional gas companies, and some of them have already done this. For recalculation, the information must be transferred to them by emergency and technical services that drew up acts on damage to critical infrastructure facilities.

Earlier it was reported that charges for utilities are returned to Ukrainians, even those who were previously canceled. So, the payment for a communal apartment is returned in Kharkov, despite the fact that it was canceled earlier "
