Russian companies should already be ready for an oil embargo in the new package of EU sanctions, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with government members.

“I see that some colleagues are starting to be somewhat superficial about the measures that we must take to eliminate possible threats.. Like, don’t give a damn about them, these sanctions, they went away, everything is already in the past, we coped with everything and feel confident. Yes, we must feel confident, but we must see the risks,” Putin said..

At the same time, the head of the terrorist state said that the country's oil production is growing: since the beginning of the year, the level of production has exceeded the previous year by 3.5%..

French President Emmanuel Macron promised that the EU would cut Russian oil imports by 92% by the end of the year..

Two months ago, Russia stated that it was not afraid of the introduction of an oil embargo by the European Union and would look for other markets for its own energy resources..

In June, the head of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Elvira Nabiullina, already warned that an embargo on Russian oil would lead to a weakening of the ruble and acceleration of inflation..

Due to the oil embargo agreed by the members of the European Union as part of the sixth package of anti-Russian sanctions, Russia will lose about $ 10 billion a year.
