The countries of the European Union will discuss the provision of temporary grain storage facilities to Ukraine. These are prefabricated structures and large plastic bags. They can save the harvest and continue to export grain to world markets, said Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Markiyan Dmitrasevich.

Today, the Ukrainian capacity for one-time storage of agricultural crops has decreased from 75 million tons to 60 tons due to the full-scale invasion of the Russian army into the territory of Ukraine, the partial occupation of the country's territories and the destruction of elevators.

" Therefore, we have a need to equip temporary grain storage facilities - modular structures and plastic bags,"

He is sure that the export of Ukrainian grain can be accelerated with the help of the EU in the construction of a phytosanitary and veterinary laboratory in the Danube port of Izmail in the Odessa region and an increase in the number of laboratory equipment at Ukrainian border checkpoints.

Ukraine has already made a corresponding request to the European Commission, said the Deputy Minister.

The European delegation should next week assess the situation with checks at border checkpoints and further reduce the bureaucracy at the borders when exporting Ukrainian products.

Earlier, Yale University professor Timothy Snyder wrote that Russia has a world hunger plan.. Vladimir Putin prepares to starve out most of the developing world. This is the next stage of his war against Europe.

Recall that the Russian Federation is blocking the export of grain from Ukrainian ports and, meanwhile, is stealing elevators in the occupied territories..

Under pressure from the world community to unblock sea routes from our country, it became known that Ankara and Moscow reached a preliminary agreement on the supply of Ukrainian agricultural products through the Black Sea. At the same time, these states did not coordinate issues with Kyiv, and Turkey itself is one of the countries that buys grain stolen by Russians in Ukraine.
