The State Food and Consumer Service asks to lift the moratorium on fuel quality checks, as cases of its mixing with an unknown substance have been identified. This was announced by the head of the Main Directorate of the State Food Service in the city of Kyiv Oleg Ruban, reports UNN.

“In 2-3 months, we will not be able to drive cars if we use fuel, which today is actually mixed with an unknown substance,” Ruban emphasized..

He recalled that the Cabinet of Ministers, in connection with martial law, imposed a moratorium on certain inspections. In this regard, fraudulent activities with fuel have already been detected at some gas stations.

" Information has already been sent to the Cabinet of Ministers on the resumption of control over metrological supervision, and this is the amount of fuel, as well as quality checks,"

As for checking gas stations for compliance with price discipline, then, according to him, for almost a month and a half, more than 150 checks have already been carried out in Kyiv, that is, about 10-15 checks daily. More than 100 violations were revealed with fines in the amount of more than one and a half million hryvnias. At gas stations where prices are exceeded, the State Food Service will continue to monitor price discipline.
