Ukrainians have begun to actively return home and to their jobs after the first months of panic and mass travel abroad in connection with the outbreak of a full-scale war, according to a survey conducted by research company Gradus Research.
According to a survey, 59% of Ukrainians are now working. The number of employed respondents has increased significantly over the previous 2.5 months: from 24% to 36%.
At the beginning of the war, 38% of respondents stated that they had a job, but they did not work, while now their number has decreased to 23%.
The situation is also improving among the unemployed: their number has decreased from 41% to 35% over the past month.
Now most of the employed are in the western and central regions: 70% and 58%, respectively. Residents of the capital return to work. As of May 23, 44% of respondents in Kiev work.
