With the current scheme of fuel supplies to Ukraine, the market will recover before the end of May, it will take up to two months to completely overcome the shortage, but a new “surprise” may soon appear, which will partly return the problem back. About this in the comment ZN. Director of A-95 Consulting Group LLC Sergey Kuyun told UA about the situation on the fuel market in Ukraine.

So, according to the expert, it will take at least two months to completely overcome the fuel shortage.. A revival of supplies can be expected by the end of May..

" In general, the construction of new transport corridors may take up to two months,"

Sergey Kuyun emphasized that sufficient volumes of fuel in ports and European refineries have already been contracted.

" But shipments are going very slowly due to the lack of tanks, locomotives, and most importantly, the lack of coordination between the participants in this movement.. There are questions about the interaction of railways of different countries,"

During this time, according to him, the issues of European logistics, which are the main barrier to fuel in Ukraine, should be resolved..

Very useful, in his opinion, in this respect was the visit of the Ukrainian delegation to Warsaw on May 9, which consisted of traders, officials and managers of state-owned companies, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Sviridenko. "

" It turned out that in one of the ports, the low speed of trains leaving was due to the presence of only one customs officer. A detailed " Individual projects will require some time and investment,"

Also an important result, according to him, is the government's immersion in the problems of the fuel market and a better understanding of the objectivity of current challenges..

At the same time, he pointed out circumstances that could slow down or even partially return the fuel shortage problem in the near future..

"

In addition, he recalled that Europe is on the verge of making a decision on the embargo on Russian oil..

" Obviously, this will require expanding the radius of the search for resources, including such a remote but fuel-rich region as the ARA (Netherlands-Belgium),” Kuyun said..

Recall that the introduction of a phased embargo on Russian oil is part of the sixth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation.. Despite the confrontation of a number of countries from Eastern Europe, an agreement can be concluded next week, in extreme cases - before the end of May..

Most EU countries must fully implement the Russian oil embargo by the end of 2022, Hungary by the end of 2024, Slovakia and the Czech Republic by mid-2024.
