The Ministry of Economy is working to ensure that Ukraine has enough fuel, and its price remains adequate, given the continuation of the Russian war against Ukraine. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Government Portal reports..

“Everyone understands that there are objective reasons for this situation - Russia is purposefully destroying reserves and processing capabilities in Ukraine. Therefore, the Ministry of Economy is working 24/7 to overcome the deficit for all consumers,” Shmyhal stressed..

According to him, the Cabinet of Ministers simplifies the procedure for importing fuel to Ukraine as much as possible, and also expands the number of countries from which supplies are planned..

In particular, the government agreed on the necessary regulations for the import of fuel from Azerbaijan, the countries of the Persian Gulf and the Middle East..

Earlier, the Ministry of Economy reported that Ukraine could significantly increase fuel supplies through Polish transit routes in the near future..

Recall that in March the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a number of decisions to reduce taxes and excises on fuel, which should reduce the cost of gasoline and diesel fuel in Ukraine. In particular, the government reduced the excise tax on the import of gasoline, diesel and liquefied gas to zero.. In addition, VAT was reduced from 20% to 7%..
