Officially from the government: what will happen to utility rates in 2022

Tariffs for the population for utilities will remain on February 24, 2022. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the resolution " №502.

The Cabinet of Ministers recommends that for the period of martial law in Ukraine, but not earlier than the end of the current heating season, the authorities authorized to set tariffs not to raise tariffs for thermal energy, services for the supply of thermal energy and hot water supply, centralized water supply and centralized drainage for the population.

The Decree recommends applying tariffs to the consumer (population) at the level of tariffs applied as of February 24, 2022.

In addition, it is recommended that companies suspend the implementation of the investment programs agreed upon, and direct the funds provided for crediting to current accounts with a special mode of use for settlements under investment programs to pay for energy carriers and repay other obligations to ensure the stable operation of such business entities.;

Earlier, Zelensky said that the electricity tariff for consumers who use up to 250 kW per month will remain unchanged for another six months and will amount to UAH 1.44/kW.. “We are extending for at least the next six months the effect of the electricity tariff in the amount of 1 hryvnia 44 kopecks per kilowatt for those consuming less than 250 kilowatts. This is 80% of our citizens,"
