World Bank to allocate additional 495 million euros in grant funds to Ukraine - Ministry of Finance

Ukraine will receive an additional amount of grant funds in the amount of 495 million from the World Bank Trust Fund. euro under the Second Loan for Development Policy in the field of economic recovery. Relevant amendments to the Grant Agreement were signed today by Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko and World Bank Regional Director for Eastern Europe (Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine) Arup Banerjee. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance.

The grantmakers under this agreement will be Norway, Austria and the United States of America.

The money will go to the general fund of the State Budget of Ukraine to ensure priority social, humanitarian, health care costs, support for internally displaced persons.

The Trust Fund was established by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association.

Denmark, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Great Britain, Norway, Austria and the United States of America have already sent funds to it.

Recall that the head of the IMF, Kristalina Georgieva, said that Ukraine will need $5 billion monthly over the next three months to close all the holes that have arisen due to the impact of Russia's invasion on the country's finances..
