The National Bank warned Ukrainians that fraudsters have stepped up their attempts to deceive the citizens of Ukraine. The NBU noted that currently there are four most common types of fraud that appeared during the war.

It is noted that the main scenarios of scammers are as follows:.

Fake rental or evacuation ads.

Fraudsters offer IDPs rental housing in safe regions or transportation from hot spots to safe places. They ask you to make an advance payment on the card, and after receiving the funds they disappear.

Fake SMS messages about cash assistance within support.

Fraudsters send SMS messages about financial assistance with the text: " Zarahuvatu…\!

Fake welfare fundraiser.

Fraudsters make fake ads to raise money for the treatment of children allegedly affected by military aggression, using a photo from the Internet. Or they create phishing (fraudulent) sites that look like real charitable foundations, where you can allegedly transfer funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They also hack into pages on social networks and, on behalf of the owners, collect funds for ammunition, both in connection with the departure to the front.

Fake advertisements for the sale of military equipment.

Fraudsters place ads on the Internet for the sale of bulletproof vests and other goods for the military.

Having received an advance payment, scammers disappear. Or, even worse, they sell defective body armor that does not protect fighters from balls..

The NBU reminded that there is an opportunity to be more informed about fraud.
