Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia stopped importing Russian gas from April 1, said Uldis Baris, head of the Latvian gas operator Conexus Baltic Grid, Leta reports..

“If earlier there were any doubts about whether supplies from Russia can be trusted, then current events clearly show that there is no more trust,” Baris said..

Lithuania was the first of the Baltic and EU countries in general to refuse Russian gas. Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda urged other EU countries to follow the example of the Baltic countries.
