All four of the world's largest oilfield services companies have announced the cessation of work in Russia due to the fact that it attacked Ukraine.

Halliburton and Schlumberger exited the Russian market on March 18, Baker Hughes on March 19, Weatherford on March 20.

Halliburton is the second largest oilfield services company in the world, its clients were Gazprom, Gazprom Neft, Rosneft, Lukoil and others.

Schlumberger is a technology company that partners with customers to access energy in over 120 countries.

Baker Hughes provides products and services for oil drilling, reservoir evaluation, completion, reservoir consulting.

Weatherford operates in about 75 countries around the world. Produces and supplies oil-producing equipment, provides services to oil and gas enterprises.

Due to the fact that Russia unleashed a full-scale war against Ukraine, the United States abandoned Russian oil. To reduce dependence on Russian gas, Germany agreed to cooperate in the energy sector with Qatar. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has repeatedly called for the elimination of dependence on Russian gas and oil: he believes that Russia allows itself to attack other countries, in particular, because it is sure that Western countries depend on its oil and gas and will not be able to normally resist its actions.
