Ukrainian oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, who owns the First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB), received the approval of the Antimonopoly Committee for the acquisition of Idea Bank, owned by the Polish Getin Holding S.

The relevant decision was made by the state regulator at a meeting on February 3.

According to the announcement, FUIB will become the owner of 100% stake in JSC Idea Bank. The latter will join the group as a separate legal structure, without personnel rotations, while continuing to serve customers under the Idea Bank brand as usual.. The integration process will take up to five years.
