The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to limit the trade markup for a number of social products. That is, the government has expanded the list of goods of social importance and, accordingly, the right to gas at preferential prices.. As predicted by ZN. According to the changes, for the period of the quarantine period, the maximum level of the trade markup should not exceed 10% of the wholesale selling price..

The government explained its decision by the rapid rise in prices for food. Over the past year, prices for them have increased by tens of percent, in particular: buckwheat - by 23.8% (+ 8.9 UAH):.

sugar - by 34.9% (+7.3 UAH);

wheat flour - by 15.4% (+1.96 UAH);

pasta - by 18.4% (+3.72 UAH);

milk - by 9.2% (+2.36 UAH);

sunflower oil - by 48% (+20.25 UAH);

eggs - by 11.5% (+3.15 UAH);

poultry - by 26.9% (+15.06 UAH);

butter - by 12.3% (+5.46 UAH).

Recall that at the end of December, a similar retail margin (10%) was introduced on bread and loaves.. However, these manufacturers said today that they will raise prices for their products by 10% in January.. Since cheap gas is not obtained, but on the contrary - prices rise.

On December 31, 2021, Minister of Agrarian Policy Roman Leshchenko signed a memorandum with producers of socially important foodstuffs to stabilize prices for natural gas of their own production; the document limits the extra charge for energy resources produced in Ukraine at the level of 25%.

Food products in Ukraine have risen in price compared to last year by a third. At the same time, prices for certain products, such as vegetable oil, rose by 70-75%.
