The State Aviation Administration Commission granted Ukrainian airlines SkyUp, Rosa Vetrov and Motor Sich the rights to operate flights on eight new routes, the regulator said in a statement on the consideration of applications of air carriers, which took place on November 26, 2019. This is written by avianews. com.

SkyUp allowed from March 1, 2020 to open regular flights Kiev-Lisbon with a frequency of up to two times a week. Currently, this route serves only Wizz Air low cost against the Portuguese quota..

The State Aviation Administration also allowed SkyUp to increase the number of flights on the Kiev-Heraklion line from three to four per week, on the Odessa-Barcelona line - from two to three per week, on the Kiev-Kharkov and Kiev-Odessa lines from three to seven per week.

“To date, the flight program of domestic flights is under development. The start of certain flights, the frequency and schedule, including depends on the permissions granted by the State Aviation Administration, ”commented on the publication of their applications in SkyUp.

The regulator approved the request of Roses of the Winds to launch charter flights from Kiev to Zaporozhye, Odessa, Lviv, Kherson and Kharkov at a frequency of three times a week and from Kiev to the Dnieper with a frequency of five times a week with a validity period until March 28, 2020.

Motor Sich was allowed to open regular Kiev-Minsk flights with a frequency of up to seven times a week without limitation on the duration of the right and increase the frequency of flights from Kiev to Zaporozhye from seven to 12 times a week.

The State Aviation Administration Commission repeatedly refused Atlasjet Ukraine to approve the application for launching Kiev-Istanbul flights with a frequency of three times a week based on part 8 of Article 94 of the Air Code of Ukraine due to the lack of a free quota.

The current quota for flights on the Kiev-Istanbul line was expanded in 2018 from 16 to 24 flights per week for each of the parties. In Ukraine, the rights to carry out 21 flights per week were given to UIA, three to “Wind Rose”. The latter does not fly on this route. Atlasjet Ukraine suspended flights on November 26, 2019 due to financial problems with the parent airline.
