Ukraine and the Russian Federation have begun to agree on an interconnection agreement according to European rules.

The draft interconnect agreement, which governs the interaction of gas transmission system operators, was handed over to the Russian side in September, and at the last talks, Russia made its first comments.

we finally received from the Russians their comments on the interconnection agreement, which should be concluded in accordance with European rules. The head of the OGTSU handed over a draft of such an agreement to Gazprom at a trilateral meeting in September, but so far we have not had any answer, ”the statement said..

The conclusion of a new interconnect agreement is necessary in accordance with European rules after the UTS operator was unbundled in Ukraine.
