The IMF Executive Board plans to meet to decide on the launch of a new stand-by program for Ukraine and, in fact, to allocate the first tranche, by the end of this year.

This was stated on Thursday, in response to a question from a correspondent of Ukrinform during a briefing in Washington, the IMF press office director Jerry Rice, reports Ukrinform.

"We now expect the meeting of the Executive Board (of the Foundation - ed.. ) will be held later this year, after implementation (by the Ukrainian side - red. ) previous actions that will allow to approve the budget for 2019 in parliament and increase heating tariffs according to the agreement reached, "- said the representative of the IMF.

He also noted that last week Kiev was visited by a group of experts of the Foundation to hold consultations with the Ukrainian government in the context of the new Stand-by program..

Answering the question whether there are any other conditions for Ukraine to receive the first tranche, Rice noted that since the announcement of the announcement of the agreement, there have been no changes.. In particular, according to him, we are talking about the approval of the state budget and the increase in gas tariffs, taking into account market changes and at the same time subsidizing the population with low incomes..
