PJSC "Ukrhydroenergo" intends to conduct a large-scale reconstruction of the equipment of the Dnieper HPP-1. The modernization will last 5 years, during which time € 62 million will be invested in the project.

"Work on the rehabilitation of equipment Dneproges-1 will last for 5 years and must finish in 2021. In particular, the updated third hydrounit should start work in June 2020, the second in October 2021.. The launch of the first is scheduled for the end of August 2021.
