Kazakhstan will launch two satellites KazSaySat and KazistiSat - for scientific and technological purposes, respectively - with the help of SpaceX, the American carrier Falcon 9, choosing it, and not one of the Russian missiles. According to the representative of the department, the decision is dictated solely by financial considerations - so cheaper. Data on the cost of launching Nurkenov did not voice, citing "commercial secrets".
At the same time, he did not rule out that in the future such spacecraft will be sent by Kazakhstan from the Baikonur cosmodrome.
The launch will be made on November 19 from the cosmodrome of the military base of Vandenberg (California).
KazSaySat was assembled in Almaty at the Institute of Space Engineering and Technology.. Its task is to monitor natural phenomena, including earthquakes.. KazistiSat will be used to predict the operation of spacecraft of this configuration in space..
